This website is dedicated and focused to satisfy a therapeutic need for special needs people and their caregivers.
There is substantial documentation concerning the medical benefits of natural swinging motion. Cerebral stimulation occurs during the natural swinging motion caused by a swing. Unfortunately, this feeling is short lived because of the need to continuously use physical effort to keep your swing going - until now! With the SwingGenie, a natural swinging rythm can be obtained automatically, quietly and almost completely unnoticable. But don't just take our word for it. Read some of our own discovered feedback from exisiting users as well as documentation from medical sources and the like regarding these benefits.

"Grace is a 35 month old little girl with a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy – Spastic Quadriplegia, seizures, and cortical blindness. She presents with low tone neck and trunk musculature, coupled with increased tone in all four extremities. She also exhibits muscle weakness throughout. Therefore, it is difficult for her to play and explore her environment without maximal assistance. Grace also has difficulty self soothing for relaxation. Therefore, it is necessary for her caregivers to constantly tend to this need by holding her, rocking her, or pushing her in her adaptive stroller. This is a major strain on the family, as well as, difficult for Grace because she can’t always have this need fulfilled on demand. Grace’s increased muscle tone throughout her extremities inhibits her ability to participate in therapies and daily living skills.
Grace would greatly benefit from the use of an Attic Ghost [SwingGenie] automated swinging device. This device maintains a constant swinging motion, and can be attached to any type of swing. This piece of equipment will assist Grace in many ways. It will allow her to self soothe without assistance. This is very important for Grace because when Grace becomes overly tired or agitated she is more prone to seizures. The swing will provide vestibular stimulation. This is a very important part of nervous system development. Due to Grace’s cortical blindness her visual stimulation is limited. Therefore, the extra stimulation to her other senses is key to enhance her motor development. The swinging motion will also decrease the abnormal muscle tone in her extremities. This will help Grace to improve her performance during therapies so she can gain strength for improved motor function.
The Attic Ghost is a wonderful device that will greatly benefit Grace. Along with a swing attachment, it can be used daily to enhance therapies, provide stimulation, and a way to provide much needed relaxation and soothing for Grace."
There are a number of new products on the market which are also claiming the benefits of swinging motion. Ours is the only patented product that maintains a natural swinging motion on nearly any hangable product.
